Heath Large Casserole

Flippin' Lid Casserole - Green and White

This casserole dish flips its lid to do double duty as a serving bowl! The handle of the lid becomes the foot of the serving bowl. I threw both pieces on the wheel from smooth white stoneware clay. The decoration was stamped into the clay, and brushed with a green stain under the glaze. Both pieces are glazed inside and out with shiny white glaze for easy cleaning. I will include my personal recipe for oven-braised lamb chops with the casserole. Casserole base capacity: 2 1/2 quarts Lid /serving bowl

Gourd Topped Casserole

These casseroles are a take-off -- a smaller version of my "Harvest Jar" http : / /www .etsy .com /view _listing .php ?listing _id =30381581 and I like the way they came out. They are detail layered on detail. The gourds are small details with even further detail in the tightly painted wax-resist patterns on those gourds.
