Gorgeous muted stripe felted wool purse made from a repurposed wool sweater, handles from an old purse and a vintage button. Large enough to use as a tote bag! I machine felted the thrift shop sweater before making the purse. I created a button loop to close the purse with bindings from the sweater and some repurposed multifilament thread from another project. The faux leather handles were removed from a an old purse that had seen better days, but the handles were still in great shape! Why not reuse them? I

I've been a knitter for 25 years. In that time I bet I've made about 10 red sweaters, either for me or for others. So...I have a lot of red yarn bits around the house.
